Private Dog Training Lessons
Private lessons are aimed at those who prefer not to join a group training class or those who have a specific training objective that they would like to focus on. Lessons typically last one hour and can either be taken as a one-off or as part of a course structured entirely around your needs.
All our lessons are designed to be fun for both the dog and the owner therefore I will use a range of rewards including food, toys and verbal praise to motivate the dogs and to teach them when they have got it right.
The list below shows some of the areas frequently covered in private lessons however if you are interested in any other area, just give me a call!
- Improve your dog's recall – train your dog to come when he is called in any situation.
- Walk on a lead without pulling.
- Improve sits & downs – train your dog to sit (or down) with more distractions or when you walk away from him or for a longer period than before.
- Distance control & 'Emergency Stops' – learn how to get your dog to stop (and sit or lie down if you want!) when he is far away from you.
- Scent training – train your dog to find objects by following a scent trail.
Private training lessons will be charged at £40 per hour. This fee includes travel costs within a 15 mile radius of Redbourn.
